Description

2 Gallon

Also known as Winged sumac, Flameleaf sumac, and Dwarf sumac

One of the best sumacs. It blooms in Summer, when little else may be available.  It is compact and dense as a smaller shrub, and becomes irregular and picturesque as it matures. The most ornamental of the sumacs. Blooms in July to August, and is wildly alive with bees . The Fall color is spectacular. Spreads through root clones. Not invasive, but it can spread. Peter Lintner in his book, Garden Plants for Honey Bees, said, “The highest density of bees on flowers I have EVER observed”  (Emphasis mine)
